Marisa Attard is an artist and illustrator.  She studied art under  Esprit Barthet, Harry Alden and Anton Calleja.  Before venturing into  the world of art and illustration she worked as a draughtsperson and  graphic designer.   Marisa's style is fluid and spontaneous.  She tries to see the humorous side of things.  Her preferred medium is pen, ink and watercolour as  well as acrylic. She has illustrated many children's books and  workbooks and was awarded the Premju Letterarju for Best Illustrator of  Children's Books in 2002 and 2003.  Her favorite subject matter in  painting is the study of people and she enjoys using bold colour and a  strong line.
