Carmel Cachia was born in Naxxar, Malta in 1972. He followed a three-year course in Graphic Design at Salvatore Dimech School, Targa Gap, Mosta.Carmel attended The School of Art in Valletta and later followed evening courses in ceramics under the tuition of Tony Briffa and George Muscat.   He also attended life classes held by Anthony Calleja.  Carmel  has participated in The Malta International Arts Festival in 1996 and other collective exhibitions.  Between September and October of 2004, Carmel held his first Solo exhibition entitled Paesaggi at Galleria Liberte’ – Workers’ Memorial Building, South Street, Valletta.
