Joan Zammit Cutajar was born in 1950.  From a very early age she showed a great talent towards art.  At the tender age of 11,  she started her journey into the artistic world with Esprit Barthet, who tutored her for a number of years.  Within 2 years, at the early age of 13 she sat for her A Level in Art, and acquired a Grade A.  Joan furthered her Art studies at the Polytechnic.   For a number of years, Joan has put her artistic talent aside, to dedicate herself to being a full time mother to four children, Michael, Jenny, Daniel and Steffie.  Now that she has accomplished motherhood she has returned to painting.  Her love for art has not diminished at all, in fact it has matured into a beautiful mix of colours, warmth and simplicity to a degree of a feeling of serenity and happiness.
